Cultural Perspectives - Journal for Literary and British Cultural Studies in Romania

CULTURAL PERSPECTIVES Journal for Literary and British Cultural Studies in Romania is a peer-reviewed annual journal, issued by the FACULTY OF LETTERS, UNIVERSITY OF BACÃU, ROMANIA.

CP invites submissions on all aspects of cultural studies related to Britishness in all countries. Its main aim is to include different perspectives on cultural studies, coming from different fields, such as literature, linguistics, semiotics, political and sociological studies, communication, public relations, anthropology, translation studies, etc.

The empirical background can be provided from different cultures, but it should underline the link between the respective culture and the British one.

Each issue focuses on a specific topic:

OBJECTIVES:

  • to promote inter/ transdisciplinarity;
  • to raise awareness about the interweaving of disciplines;
  • to promote intercultural dialogue;
  • to create the equilibrium between theoretical basis and textual/ case studies.

Journal Policy

Cultural Perspectives (CP) accepts for publication reviewed original papers, interviews and book reviews on a broad range of topics of interest in literary, language and cultural studies. There are no article submission, processing and publication charges (APC).

Open Access Policy:

Starting with issue 22/2017, CP Journal offers “open access” to published literature. It assures that CP has free availability on the public internet, permitting any users to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of these articles, crawl them for indexing, pass them as data to software, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without financial, legal, or technical barriers other than those inseparable from gaining access to the internet itself. The CP articles from issue 22/2017 onwards are available online for free, without any charge to download or print each article.

License agreement

In submitting an article to CP Journal, authors and all co-authors, agree that the article, if editorially accepted for publication, shall be licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution License 4.0.
The Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY), of which CC BY 4.0 is the most recent version, was developed to facilitate open access as defined in the founding documents of the movement, such as the 2003 Berlin Declaration. Open access content has to be freely available online, and through licensing their work under CC BY authors grant users the right to unrestricted dissemination and re-use of the work, with only the one proviso that proper attribution is given to authors.
The Creative Commons Attribution License 4.0 provides the following summary (where ‘you’ equals ‘the user’):

You are free to:

Share — copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format
Adapt — remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose, even commercial.
The licensor cannot revoke these freedoms as long as you follow the license terms.

Under the following terms:

Attribution — You must give appropriate credit, provide a link to the license, and indicate if changes were made. You may do so in any reasonable manner, but not in any way that suggests the licensor endorses you or your use.
No additional restrictions — You may not apply legal terms or technological measures that legally restrict others from doing anything the license permits.
