Abstract: | In order to both attain and conceal the degree of subjectivity and falseness ever possible and imaginable in a literary text, a writer employs and exploits a series of procedures such as the paraverbal (extra-linguistic elements) or the rhetorical devices; resting equally on presuppositions and on the implicit, the experienced artist entertains an artful “dialogical” relationship with the reader who, in his turn, is free to choose the meanings he likes or he finds appropriate and, consequently, is liable to experience disagreement.
On the other hand, as an auctorial instance, the writer could and should predict, avoid and prevent the suspicion on the reader’s part. Thus, the writer’s argumentation might successfully lead to some persuasive effects. |
