Issue:

INTERSTUDIA, Number 3

Section:

IDEOLOGY, CONSTRUCTION OF IDENTITY AND LITERATURE

Abstract:

Among the biographical genres, the diary is the most disputed. Many consider it «a minor genre» and even those who practise it, the diarists, do not always place much hope in it. ... As a rule, the diary is conceived as a writing adjacent to the poem or the novel. Memoirs, autobiographies, confessions – its older relatives – succeeded in gaining recognition and in constructing the models they needed

Keywords:

critical diary, social self, writing.
