The revue âScientific Studies and Research. Series Biologyâ is a scientific revue edited under the aegis of the University âVasile Alecsandriâ from BacÄu, by Alma Mater Editor from BacÄu and it is issued by The Faculty of Sciences, Department of Biology.
It first appeared in 1996 year as a one time per year publication. Starting with 2007 year, due to the large number of articles and to the accelerate evolution of science, the revue started to appear two times per year, being divided in two series: SeriesVegetal Biology (which appears in March) and Series Animal Biology (whish is published in May).
The revue is indexed in the following international databases
and evaluated by CNCSIS in the category B+. The revue language is English (American or British usage is accepted, but not a mixture of these).
The main objective of these revues is to provide a forum for high quality review articles from different fields of plant and animal biology. It covers all areas of biology, whether fundamental or applied, including: General Biology, Cellular and Molecular Biology, Genetics, Ecology, Microbiology, Anatomy, Morphology, Systematic, Taxonomy, Zoology, Physiology, Cytology, Histology, Embryology, Anthropology, Toxicology, Biotechnology, Agriculture, Horticulture, Human Medicine, Biochemistry and Biophysics.
The revue âScientific Studies and Researches â Series Biologyâ accepts for publication three types of articles:
- General review articles (maximum 8 pages) to underline the important areas of biology.
- Research focus articles (4-6 pages) to highlight new and emerging results obtained in the above mentioned biology subjects.
- Articles with technical focus (4-6 pages) to underline the existing and new emerging techniques suitable for biology.
The Scientific Advisory Board, that assures the review of the articles, is formed from national and internationally recognised personalities in our field: at national level (10 members) and from abroad (15 members).
Our peer-reviewed articles are written by internationally respected scientists, researchers and practitioners with exceptional results.
