Abstract: | The morphology and structure of seedlings during ontogenesis in three Origanum L. species (O. vulgare, O. criticum and O. kopetdaghensis) are described. The range of morphological and anatomical variation appears to be short in seedlings of investigated species, the structural layout of root, hypocotyl, epicotyl and leaf and the stages of vascular system evolution being similar. Three types of glandular hairs are distinguished. Among the analyzed species, O. vulgare seedling provides the bigger number of glandular hairs on both leaf surfaces. |
