The paper aims at presenting a comprehensive timeline of Romanian lexicographic attempts at compiling bilingual dictionaries of military terms. This serves as a background for the project of a new English – Romanian dictionary of such lexical items. Details are given as to the database that will be used and the techniques implemented for building the monolingual and bilingual entries.
