PARADIGMS OF IDENTITY. PRAXI-THEORETICAL PERSPECTIVES

Abstract:

The focus of this paper is on the epistemological, i.e., ontological and gnoseological, assessment of constructivism seen from the viewpoint of its applicableness to the context of human identity. Types of constructivism, such as personal, social, and radical scientific constructivism, constitute here the subject matter. Likewise, types of identities, such as individual and collective or ego- and group-specific, considered against the background of biological and cultural, and other identities, create the investigative perspective of our presentation. Accordingly, its material source comprises a selection of theoretical and applied works on the scientific aspects of constructivism and human identity in an ordering overview.

Keywords:

epistemology, constructivism, subjective significance, semiotics, identity formation.
