Abstract:

The paper presents the basic principles of gravitational separation of solid-liquid systems, and emphasis the ways to increase the equipment productivity. The principle of lamellae settling is analyzed and discussed. Several equipment based on this principle are presented. Advantages and drawbacks of the lamellae sedimentation are also reviewed.
