Abstract:

The cyclic action of the stresses, during turbine functioning in variable regime, enhances material decay especially in the stress concentrating areas where fatigue life is severely compromised. The paper presents some contributions regarding the behaviour of some high resistance steels, used for thermal-energetic equipment, when subjected to variable loads at elevated temperatures.

Steel, variable loads, stress, high temperatures.
