Abstract: | The paper presents the most frequent failures encountered in shell and tube heatexchangers used as cooling equipment in different technological processes, due to poordesign, manufacturing faults, improper operating, maintenance and repairing. Theconclusions of the paper are based on the monitoring of several cooling systems fromchemical and petrochemical plants, power plants and oil refining facilities, during almost adecade of service. |
