As conventional phosphate glasses have low chemical durability, their application was
limited. Thus, many efforts have been focused on increasing their chemical durability. New
applications are emerging recently as environmental materials. The aim of this work is to study the
effect of calcium substitution by magnesium on thermal properties and the chemical durability of
the 3P2O5-2K2O-(1-x) CaO-xMgO glass system (0 ≤ x ≤ 1) in order to their application as a
vitrifiable controlled release fertilizer. |
