Abstract:

Springback phenomenon is the main cause of dimensional instability of the formed parts. In its turn, springback is caused by the residual stresses distribution within the part, after processing and in the absence of any external forces. Therefore, knowledge of residual stresses state is very important because of the major contribution to the shape and dimensional accuracy of the formed parts. In this paper a correlation between the residual stresses distribution (the cause) and the springback parameters (the effect) in the case of cylindrical drawn parts is established.

Keywords:

residual stresses, springback parameters, cylindrical draw parts.
