Abstract

Residual stresses are the internal stresses created inside a component, during manufacturing. Knowledge of the residual stress state obtained during the deep-drawing process is very important because of its effect on the springback phenomenon. In this paper the residual stresses distribution through the sheet thickness in the case of cylindrical draw parts, by using the hole drilling method, is analyzed.
