Abstract
The main process of water’s treatment can be mechanical, chemical and biological. From all mechanical treatment procedures, filtration is the most irreplaceable one in the scheme of a treatment plant. Filtration is the advanced clearing procedure, consisting of water’s passing through a porous material, that has a certain granulometry, named filter layer, used for the retention of the natural suspended particles or previous coagulated particles. Filtering is influenced by a series of parameters.
