Abstract

Nowadays, the fuzzy set theory is regarded with more interest to be applied to different problems concerning the operation control and development planning of power systems under conditions of uncertainty. In this regard, certain studies use a combination of fuzzy and probabilistic data [1]. In case of an electrical distribution network, there are many uncertainties regarding especially active and reactive power demand. In this paper, a fuzzy approach of power flow analysis in electrical distribution networks is presented. The nodal powers are modeled by using two primary fuzzy variables: loading factor and power factor. An appropriate software product for power flow calculation is used to determine the corresponding state of the network under different loading conditions.
