The paper presents the results of a static and dynamic study, undertaken with the strain gauges technique on the frame side members of a semitrailer dump, in which any fatigue cracks were identified. In order to stop the cracks propagation, a reinforcing solution was adopted. To evaluate the efficiency of these modifications, the experimental measurements were performed.
