Abstract
This paper presents some theoretical and practical aspects regarding to the impact phenomena calculus using finite element method. Some material models, some equation of state models and others practical aspects are also presented. Next to these aspects failure in materials and its simulation is also presented. Conclusions and remarks that close this paper are very useful for a right approaching of the impact calculus by finite element method.
