Abstract

Five new formiato complexes have been synthesized and studied by spectroscopic methods. The structures, when the cations are involved through hydrogen bonds, are supramolecular. The anion behaves as a monocoordinating ligand. The existence of tetrahedral SnBu<sub>2</sub>(HCO<sub>2</sub>)<sub>2</sub> has been evidenced in this work.
