COMMON (E.A) - PROPERTY AND ALTERING DISTANCE IN METRIC SPACES

Abstract

In this paper a general fixed point theorem for mappings satisfying an implicit relation is proved for two pairs of mappings with a common (E.A.) - property, which generalize the main results from [1]. In the last part of the paper, as applications we obtain some fixed point results for mappings satisfying contractive condition of integral type, for almost contractive mappings and for (ψ, φ) - weakly contractive mappings.
