Ioan Dănilă: Journalism and Active Cultural Citizenship

Our paper proposes a presentation of the activity of Professor Ioan Dănilă from the perspective of his involvement in community life, for the safeguarding of the local
cultural heritage and cultural memory of Bacău region. His publications can be grouped into two broad categories: philological and linguistic, on the one hand, and
active cultural citizenship, on the other. Ioan Dănilă is the initiator and main actor of some PR campaigns to support the local cultural heritage, which the local press
promoted. We will refer to some of these campaigns that earned Ioan Dănilă the title of honorary citizen of Bacău county.
