IOAN DĂNILĂ ȘI NORMATIVITATEA LIMBII ROMÂNE

Luminița Drugă

Ioan Dănilă and the Normativity of the Romanian LanguageIt is often said that ‘a good farmer makes a good farm’ and that our most important achievements are those that remain after us and find a place in ‛a corner of the mind’(Eminescu) or, as Tudor Arghezi stated, ‛a name inside a book’. This article proposes a brief exploration of the scientific work of Ioan Dănilă, a complex personality in theacademic, cultural, editorial, and journalistic life of Bacău. With a complete teaching career, having gone through all levels of the Romanian education system, fromprimary to university, Ioan Dănilă also had a complex scientific activity with contributions in the fields of didactics, contemporary Romanian language, anddialectology, the field in which he defended his doctoral thesis. However, Ioan Dănilă gained scientific notoriety through the extraordinary passion he dedicated to servingthe norms of the Romanian language and implicitly defending correct writing and speaking alongside the algorithmization of Romanian morphosyntax. Generations ofstudents have ‛drunk’ from the fountain of linguistic knowledge provided by Professor Ioan Dănilă.

IMAGINEA LUI VASILE ALECSANDRI ÎN MUNICIPIUL CHIȘINĂU

Victoria Fonari

The Image of Vasile Alecsandri in the Municipality of ChișinăuIn this article we investigate how the image of Vasile Alecsandri, politician, minister, diplomat, founding member of the Romanian Academy, creator of the Romanian Theater and dramatic literature in Romania, prominent personality of the Principality of Moldova and then of modern Romania after 1859, whose portrait is present in every pre-university institution in the Republic of Moldova. During post-war period, the creation of Vasile Alecsandri was similar to Mihai Eminescu's, both being banned. In 1948, the commission was created to determine the membership of culture and art personalities in the following categories: Moldovan writers, Moldovan and Romanian writers, and Romanian writers. In 1950, the leadership of the republic reviewed some of the banned names and they were declassified. Accordingly, the publication in 1951-1952 of the creation of M. Eminescu and Vasile Alecsandri was reinstated. Vasile Alecsandri was rehabilitated for the following reasons that I selected from the Encyclopedia of Chisinau from 1984. I presented the street that in the Soviet period bore the  writer's name. During the period of independence, it was renamed one of the main arteries of the city of Chisinau. In 1997, the matte bronze monument of Vasile Alecsandri was installed in front of the National Library. The sculpture was created by Ion Zderciuc (b. 1957) who is an admirer of the illustrious playwright's creation, part of an art exhibition named ‟Vasile Alecsandri in small plastic”.

EXPRIMAREA TIPURILOR DE AKTIONSART ÎN LIMBILE RUSĂ ȘI ROMÂNĂ

Aliona Sobol

Expression of Types of Aktionsart in Russian and Romanian LanguagesThe lexical category of Aktionsart belongs to the universal category of aspectuality. It encompasses semantic groups of verbs and, to some extent, word formation, demarcated through the commonality of the type of action unfolding. To express various types of Aktionsart, the Russian language typically employs prefixes, which, in Slavic languages, have two meanings: lexical and grammatical. These aspects determine two functions: derivational and perfective (which changes the grammatical category of the verbal aspect from imperfective to perfective). The Romanian language expresses numerous types of Aktionsart, most often through lexico-grammatical means (such as adverbs, adverbial phrases, prepositions, adjectives, etc.). This difference arises from the predominantly synthetic structure of Russian and the analytic-synthetic structure of Romanian. Consequently, in most cases, a Russian verb with a prefix has two or more corresponding Romanian lexemes.

CĂLĂTORIILE PATRIOTICE ȘI SENTIMENTALE ALE LUI DIMITRIE BOLINTINEANU

Doris Mironescu

Dimitrie Bolintineanu's Patriotic and Sentimental TravelsDimitrie Bolintineanu's travel memoirs are one of the largest bodies of work of its kind in the 1848 generation in Romania. During his extended, nine years-long exile abroad, he visited especially the Eastern Mediteranean, always on a quest for culturally and artistically meaningful experiences, but also fulfilling several political or diplomatic missions. His travels are those of a romantic and of an exile, and the mournful and elegiac tone of his prose is to be attributed to his longing for home. The goals which may be identified in his memoirs, and which this article explores, are to describe artistically interesting territories and to operate an advantageous comparison between his native country and those of the places he visits. There is a patriotic atmosphere to his writing, and also a desire to educate and inform his reader, which makes his memoirs sometimes a hard read. However, his writing is always very expressive, although sometimes this is due to the old and picturesque expressions from an obsolete form of the literary language this romantic writer uses exuberantly.

IMAGINEA TURCULUI ȊN TEATRUL POPULAR DIN MOLDOVA

Gabriela Pântea (Bobu)

The Image of the Turk in the Folk Theater of ModovaIn this article we want to analyze the way in which the substrate of the authentic folk theatre specific to the winter holidays, illustrates its relationship with the ritual drama, by analyzing the opinion of Romanians about other peoples and also by the representation of other ethnicities as folk theater characters. We come to present the concept of otherness in the texts of the folk theater from Moldova, by following the role of the Turkish in popular phraseology, in folk dramatic manifestations and in dramatic dialogue.

INTERSECȚII LIRICE ANTICE ȘI MODERNE. CÂTEVA PERSPECTIVE TEORETICE

Liviu Franga

Ancient and Modern Lyrical Intersections. Some Theoretical PerspectivesIn Classical Antiquity there was no theory regarding the general or particular forms of literature, in this case a theory of genres or species. The distinction was made through current literary practice, certified by tradition. In the present analysis, the author proposes to delimit the basic meanings of the modern concept of literary genre starting from the hypothesis of an indistinct primordial “poetic genre” (Edgar Papu). The lyrical poetry of Classical Antiquity served to Papu as an illustration of the general space of affection. From here, the second hypothesis: the existence of an “emotional” or “expressive” genre (René Martin, Jacques Gaillard), from which later developed the particular forms of lyrical species, belonging the literature of Greco-Latin classicism.

RECEPTAREA LUI MIHAI EMINESCU ȘI REFLEXELE MITIZANTE

Dorina Rotari

The Reception of Mihai Eminescu’s Literary Work and Mythicizing ReflexesThe present article discusses the problem of receiving Mihai Eminescu's literary work on two basic coordinates: exegetical, having as a benchmark the aesthetic value of the poet's work, and mentalistic, focused on the tragic biography of the author, correlated with the image of the genius creator, who gave birth to the Eminescu Myth. The evolution of the Eminescu Myth was investigated, from the status of a community myth, configured in the era of the poet's affirmation (the last decades of the 19th century), to that of a cultural myth, the mutation being determined by a complex of social and cultural factors that reveal the tendency of self-identification of our nation through/in Eminescu. The subsequent evolution of the Eminescu Myth took place along identity, paradigmatic, axiological and ideological lines, periodically being situated between an abstract mythification and an aggressive demythization, which indicates the axiological mutations in the cultural field.

CUM SE SCRIE UN ROMAN

Virgil Răzeșu

How to Write a NovelThe author, surgeon, writer, publicist, translator and editor, author of six novels, evokes his own experience and that of others in the genesis of this genre of writing and concludes that anyone can write a novel, provided they have something to pass on to their peers and, above all, the courage to approach it.

ASCENSIUNEA DE NIKOS KAZANTZAKIS – O FORMULĂ ROMANESCĂ ATIPICĂ

Amalia Drăgulănescu

The Ascension of Nikos Kazantzakis – an Atypical Novel FormulaThe Ascension of Nikos Kazantzakis represents a kind of founding pattern, situated between a novel of initiation and a travelogue, crossed by passion and an unrepressed tendency towards a special form of soteriology. Somehow balancing certain artistic, civic, and spiritual inclinations, the volume belongs to a paradigm that illuminates most of Kazantzakis’ writings. This vast spiritual confession expresses the author's profession of faith, that writing is a healing act, necessary and, above all, very audacious. The opus is also a kind of literary manifesto, representative of the memory of the XXth century, as well as an illustrative landmark for what, nowadays, metamodernity means. The whole book consists of a wide and apparently Hamletian monologue on the fragility of existence, on the inconsistency of the thinking reed, on the fragility of the human condition.

ORE FRANCEZE LA MERIDIAN ROMÂNESC

Vasile Spiridon

French Hours at the Romanian MeridianOur commentary concerns the book ”Ore franceze” (French Hours), which includes, in the form of a complete edition, the interviews between Ion Pop and critics, historians and literary theorists, as well as exchanged ideas with renowned novelists and poets in the French literary field. These personalities lift the veil on their points of view, their ideas and their creative approaches representative of the time intervals from 1973 to 1977 and from 1990 to 1993. Whether it is a question of aesthetic consciousness or of the theoretical and interpretative horizon, there is no doubt that the positions of these personalities were diverse. In an era marked by the crisis of the subject, of language and of institutions, the professor from Cluj showed great receptivity to what was said to him, keeping wide open the range of all opinions.
