The Image of the Turk in the Folk Theater of Modova

In this article we want to analyze the way in which the substrate of the authentic folk theatre specific to the winter holidays, illustrates its relationship with the ritual drama, by analyzing the opinion of Romanians about other peoples and also by the representation of other ethnicities as folk theater characters. We come to present the concept of otherness in the texts of the folk theater from Moldova, by following the role of the Turkish in popular phraseology, in folk dramatic manifestations and in dramatic dialogue.
