Stelian Dumistrăcel. Visions and Methods in the Research of Marin Preda՚s Style

This paper highlights some ways in which Stelian Dumistrăcel makes the analyses of Marin Preda՚s literary discourse, over three decades, aiming at reavealing the significance of the linguistic units in the construction of the meaning. The researcher studies the relationships between the knowledge of things, their representation and the meaning associated with them. He also identifies the connotative meaning of words and idiomatic phrases in Marin Preda's work.
