This paper presents the faunistic results regarding the spider fauna (Araneae Ord.) encountered in the superficial underground environment of the Leaota Mountains. The gathering of spiders was carried out during 2014-2015 in surveys located in limestone and schists colluvial scree. We captured faunistic elements at depths of 1m, 0.75m and 0.5m in limestone MSS; in shale MSS we collected fauna only from the depth of 0.5m and 1m. As a result of our research, we identified 12 spiders species, of which 11 are new for Leaota. The Nesticus balacescui species was first reported in shale MSS.

Spermograms were used as working methods, taking into account: the number of sperm, mobility, morphology and pH, spermoculture carried out on blood-cultured jealously and MacConkey and the propulsivity index (sperm fertilization capacity) calculated according to Farres' formula.
ECOLOGICAL RESEARCH ON AVIFAUNA OF RESERVOIRS IN THE MIDDLE OF ARGES VALLEY. THE PREVERNAL SEASON
MARIA DENISA CONETE, MAGDALIN LEONARD DOROBĂŢ
In this paper, the authors display the results of the ecologic research on the bird fauna in the area of the reservoirs on the middle valley of Arges river during the prevernal season. Thus, the spring season was the richest regarding the number of species (186 species were identified belonging to 17 orders, 45 families and 107 genera); 77 species depend on wetlands. We perform an analysis of the avifauna according to ecological indices ((IR, constancy, dominancy, the Dzuba index of ecological significance, etc.). The Anseriformes and Passeriformes orders were overdominant in the researched season. The very large number of accidental species in the spring season (97), alongside the large number of subrecedent species emphasize the existence of a very large fluctuation of the bird species (Anseriformes, Charadriiformes, Passeriformes) in the studied area, especially on Golesti lake, these lakes being located on the Rucăr-Bran Corridor migration route. 39 species are listed on Annex I of the Birds Directive.

A study was conducted in the period 2013-2016 on a staff of 70 patients from the Hematology Department of the "St. Pantelimon" Emergency Hospital in Focsani, Vrancea County, with a diagnosis of multiple types of leukemias. Laboratory determinations have been performed in the S.C. Medcenter, S.R.L. The samples examined were taken prior to the introduction of therapies or surgical interventions. In this study we aim to track the share of acute leukemia in relation to chronic lesions, the distribution of subjects by gender, age, urban / rural environment. Also, for a quantitative and qualitative assessment of haematological parameters, the following laboratory tests were performed: complete blood count, cytological blood smear test, medulogram and reticulocyte count. In our study, chronic leukemia (71%) has the highest weight, and chronic lymphoid leukemia (46%) predominates among leukemia types. Of the total leukemia cases investigated, 95.72% are diagnosed in adults.
SOIL-EARTHWORM RELATIONSHIP REFLECTED IN LUMBRICIDAE DYNAMICS
GHEORGHIŢA BRÎNZEA, ALINA PĂUNESCU, MARIA CRISTINA PONEPAL
Interactions between soil fauna and their habitat can be described in "positive" and "negative" terms according to the feed-back of the ecosystem balance. The soil cultivated with maize was analyzed in terms of morphological, physical and chemical structure in June and July 2014, in order to determine the specific species and to highlight the relationship between soil and earthworms. The prevalent soil was coluvic-eutric aluvisol on colluvial-proluvial deposits, sandy loam. Lumbricides community comprised nine species classified in three environmental categories (epigeic, endogeic and anecic). Statistics showed low density (ind/m2) and species frequency (%) on this type of soil. Epigeic species recorded the highest abundance. The correlation between species density and soil texture was insignificant (R=0.315; p=0.058), while the correlation between soil pH and relative abundance was significant for two months: June (R=0.240, p

We investigated a number of 93 cases of acute nitrate poisoning in children of different sexes and ages, in urban and rural areas of Bacau County. The investigations were performed at the Public Health Department of Bacau, within the frame of the national prevention program for evaluating cases of acute infantile methemoglobinemia caused by water from well sources, over a period of nine years (2006-2014). For the determination of nitrates/nitrites in water was used the colorimetric method with indigo carmine and reading spectrophotometer. For patients, there was used the photometric dosage by means of the analyzer of urine strips - Labu Reader - strips with 10 parameters. The territorial distribution shows that, in some localities, during this period, there was only one case of acute poisoning. However, there were villages with more than 3 cases, respectively Horgeşti, Parincea, Corbasca with cases in these nine years, whereas the second risk group included Pancesti and Gura Vaii with 4 cases of poisoning. The dynamics of acute nitrate poisoning cases confirmed throughout the nine-year study indicates an annual decrease in the number of cases, which suggests efficient preventive measures by involving local government and health services in rural areas in achieving the objectives of the territorial health program called Disease prevention through the monitoring of causal factors in the living environment

MAGDALIN LEONARD DOROBĂŢ(1), EUGEN NITZU(2), IONUŢ POPA(2), ANDREI GIURGINCA(2), AUGUSTIN NAE(2), ŞTEFAN BABA(2), CODRUŢA MIHAELA DOBRESCU(1)
This paper displays the results of some fauna research, carried out for more than one and a half years. They represent not only a premiere for the Rudăriţei Keys but also for Leaota Mountains. Also, a fascinating thing is represented by the continuous, permanent monitoring, during this period, of the main ecologic factors, the temperature and the relative humidity and the collecting of their values from two to two hours during this whole period, as well as the correlation of this abiotic parameters to the distribution of the some main fauna groups (Ord. Araneae, Cls. Colembolla, Cls. Diplopoda, Ord. Isopoda, Ord. Coleoptera, Cls. Chilopoda). This study represents a component of some wider research, which has been carried on in Leaota, both in the limestone and schist substratum, the edaphic soil and also in the subterranean shallow habitats.

Pesticides are mainly released into Lakes, ponds and rivers due to the runoff from agricultural fields. Pesticides are generally toxic to many non-target organisms such as fish. Fish, generally accumulate contaminants from aquatic environments and have been largely used in studies of food safety. The toxic effect of the chlorantraniliprole on biochemical characteristics (total protein, soluble and structural, free amino acids and lipid levels in muscle, kidney and liver) of the snake head fish Channa punctatus were estimated. The result shows declined levels of biochemical parameters during all the exposure periods when compared with control.
RESEARCH REGARDING THE FISH COMMUNITIES IN DRINCEA, BALASAN, AND DESNATUI (DANUBE TRIBUTARIES, ROMANIA)
DOREL URECHE, CAMELIA URECHE
The study was carried out in 2007 in three of the Danube tributaries, namely Drincea, Balasan, and Desnatui. Our research aims to contribute to the knowledge update by analyzing the structure of the fish communities in this area, and also to assess the state of fish communities from the ecological point of view. In this respect, after a taxonomical analysis, an ecological analysis was made, using some of ecological indices as well as biodiversity indices. The fish communities of the Drincea, Balasan, and Desnatui rivers display a great richness in species, especially in Drincea River. The ecological analysis reveals well-balanced fish communities in all of the three tributaries.
