BACOVIANISMUL – SINTEZĂ INGENIOASĂ A PRINCIPALELOR CURENTE MODERNISTE

Liviu Chiscop

The bacovianism – ingenious synthesis of the main modernist currentsThe objective of this article is to advance and support the hypothesis that, in our literature, George Bacovia is distinguished by the fact that he remained a modernist from one end of his existence to the other, and Bacovianism - the current he imposed and lent the name - is limited exclusively to the aesthetic direction of modernism. At the same time, however, Bacovia’s uniqueness consists in the fact that, in his lyrics, elements belonging to all modernist currents can be found, starting with the decadent experience, continuing with symbolism and expressionism and ending with existentialism.

GEORGE BACOVIA ÎNTR-UN UNIVERS UNIFORM

Carmen-Mihaela Agrigoroaie (Zaharia)

George Bacovia in a Uniform UniverseA today tabu subject is globalization with its advantages and disadvantages not only for the societies but also for the individuals. Unity in diversity, for example, is a slogan used at least in European policy today and it’s an aim even in social human relationships seen as a solution fighting against human discrimination. During Bacovia’s times globalization was not a public theme although it existed in world’s policies. Lecturing his poetry, today readers can observe a response of the poet about vanishing the differences and his anticipation makes his literary personality be actual or even visionary. The common point of poet’s vision and globalization policies is not the human discrimination, but the individual’s psychological power to accept the vanishing of differences in Universe. Our research aims to a description of Bacoviaʼs vision and to an explication of the causes that influenced his work in the direction of blaming vanishing differences in the world. In the bacovian vision, losing differences means the end of the world. We discovered that the causes of his apocalyptic view towards uniformization of the Universe could be explained by social, cultural and personal contexts. The custom vision of the fin de siècle, the program of the symbolism and the melancholic personality of George Bacovia, generate the apocalyptic vision communicated in his poetry. One of his apocalyptic vision particularities is the uniformization of the Universe and another particularity is the double focalisation, visual and auditive, on two alarming factors.

ȊNTRE PROIECTUL LUI NIETZSCHE ŞI CEL AL LUI GEORG SIMMEL SAU ÎNCEPUTUL UNEI MEDITAŢII ASUPRA MODERNITĂŢII

Mariana Boca

Between Nietzsche's and Georg Simmel's project or the inauguration of a meditation on modernityThe study proposes an interrogative-critical perspective on modernity. Nietzsche's philosophical project, summarized in its moral content, is put face to face with Simmel's philosophical projection. The moralist Nietzsche imagines an anti-morality, with an internal economy specific to pseudo-morality, which, however, will have an overwhelming influence on European and European mentalities in the twentieth century. Nietzsche's anti-morality denies all Christian and Jewish foundations and conveys, as a tireless dynamo, an unexpected legitimation for the destructive ideologies of the twentieth century, generating much energy in the area of communist and fascist fanaticism, but also in the area of post-World War II elitist nihilism, or closer, in the area of the radical neo-Marxism of gender ideology and posthumanists. Georg Simmel's 1900 philosophical hypothesis, also based on a profound sociological analysis, allows us to identify a conceptual framework for the imperialism of objects in twentieth-century culture. Transforming itself into a "boundless space" in which "each creator places his product next to another", the culture of modernity establishes the mass character of specific cultural objects, with non-discriminatory value, thanks only to their simple existence in this territory. The imperialism of cultural objects, exercised also through the redundancy of objects as well as through the manifestation of cultural contents, generates an imperialism of the cultural models promoted by modernity. Modern man is gradually subjected, in his evolution, not to his own will, but to the meaning resulting from the internal laws of the functioning of cultural models.

MEMORIILE LUI CONSTANTIN ȚOIU

Paraschiva Butnărașu (Buciumanu)

Memoirs of Constantin ToiuAt the age of maturity, Constantin Toiu contemplates his life and feels the need to present readers the image of a life lived under communism. Freed from the pressure of the regime, the writer evaluates his own career and explains his creative path, intellectual adventure and spiritual development. Encouraged by the desire to recover the journalistic texts from „Literary Romania”, the articles from the volumes of essays Morsus diaboli, Caftane și cafteli, Răvașe din Kamceatka, the fragments from the notebooks and files found, which best show his evolution, Constantin Toiu gets to publish, from 2003 to 2010, five volumes of Memoirs, distinguished by their composite air. Although there are enough justifying or controversial pages, Constantin Toiu’s Memoirs are not governed by this aspect, because it was not the harsh revelations that interested the writer, but the thought of giving us a true “scholarly biography”, since travel notes and memos dominate his writings. In addition, in his scrupulous approach, the memoirs writer reveals to the reader the special concern for his literary inheritance.

CORINTIC ŞI DORIC ÎN ROMANUL UNCHIUL DIN PARIS

Emilia Grigoraș

Corinthian and Doric in the Novel Uncle from ParisEndowed with intelligence, observation and humor, Busuioc is the rare type of “urban” writer who prefers to use as a writing material the rural life. His prose rejects the soft Moldovan narrative, by being dynamic, cinematic, essayistic and with an ironic nerve. Literary critic and historian Ion Ciocanu – trying, in turn, to highlight the major contribution of Aureliu Busuioc to the evolution of the Romanian novel – even speaks of the Romanian phenomenon Aureliu Busuioc as he asserted himself fully through his much Romanian production, leaving behind the most faithful novelists of his generation. Aureliu Busuioc managed to break the simplistic tradition of socialist realism. Looking at things from this perspective, we can speak – without fear of error – of the essential contribution of Aureliu Busuioc not only to the evolution of the Bessarabian novel, but even to the development of this kind of writing in all Romanian literature.
