Abstract

A risk assessment environmental software, based on image processing and in situ topographic surveying data, has been developed for the efficient evaluation of ponds’ liner manufactures under particular natural collapses. Efficient solutions and lining methods for reclamation environmental infrastructure works are presented. The presented geo-informatics software confrontates the most common met problems in the environmental liner manufactures’ management when slope stability is under risk due to several reasons. An analysis is presented for proper manufactures’ management within curved geometries on ground surface, lake boundaries, pond manufacture deformation, flood risk confrontation and environmental protection. Useful solutions are presented for the examining problem in order to develop spatial risk assessment tools and to support the technical works for saving any environmental protective areas, like Moustos Lake in Greece.
