THE HEAT TREATMENTS IN ULTRASONIC FIELD APPLIED TO THE BEAR STEELS

GHEORGHIAN MIRELA, CIUCESCU DORU

The researches in the domain have demonstrated that the ultrasonics determine substantial changes in the structure of the quenching steels, regarding the hardness, as well the other structural parameters as follows: the dimensions of the mozaic blocks, the percentage of the residual austenite, the remanent stresses, the density of the dislocations, all of these being confirmed by modern analyse methods.[1]. The thermo-ultrasonic treatments have a maximum efficiency on the high allied steels in which the austenite, being stable, remains in huge quantities after quenching. The diminition of this structural phase by applying of mutiple tempering (clasical method) is made with a high consumption of energy and with a low productivity.

DEVELOPMENT OF A USEFUL IMAGE PROCESSING ENVIRONMENTAL SOFTWARE BASE FOR EFFICIENT LINING METHODS OF TECHNICAL PROJECTS – MOUSTOS LAKE GREECE

KOLIOPOULOS T. C.(1), TZANIS D.(1), KOLIOPOULOU G.(3), AXINTE C.(2)

Quick and accurate environmental software based on image processing and global positioning system data has been developed for the right decision making of efficient lining methods for investigation projects on reclamation environmental infrastructure works. The presented informatics software confronts the most common met problems in the environmental manufacture management for reclamation infrastructure works. An analysis is presented for proper manufactures’ management within curved geometries on ground surface, lake boundaries, pollutants’ plume trends, flood risk confrontation, drainage works, maintenance of port works, protection of river bed and proper irrigation maintenance. Useful solutions are presented for the examining problem in order to develop spatial risk assessment tools and to support the technical works for saving any environmental protective areas, like Moustos Lake in Greece.

ANALYTICAL RELATION FOR DESIGN OF PROTECTIVE ZONES AT HORIZONTAL LIGHTNING RODS

HAZI GHEORGHE, HAZI ANETA

This paper presents some relations established by authors, for analytical design of protective zones at horizontal lightning rods, according to standard NTE 001/03/00. There are presented relations for usually cases in the energetically installations: an inclined horizontal lightning rod, two inclined and unparallel horizontal lightning rods, two parallel horizontal lightning rods. Using of analytical models proposed by authors permit as design and verification of protective zone surface to make easier for complex electrical installations, such as substations.

THERMAL SOLICITATION IN MONOLAYER PLANE AND CIRCULAR PLATES. VARIABLE TEMPERATURE ON THE THICKNESS OF THE PLATE

IATAN I. RADU(1), POPA T. ARMEN(2)

The article take into discussion different laws for the transmission of the heat in the monolayer circular plane plates, in stationary regime, and the effects produced on the stresses states due to the bending application. We take into consideration the case of the rigid embedded plates on the contour, with variable temperature on their thickness, taking into account the allowed laws for its dependence along the current radius. We considerate thin plates, those plates that accept linear temperature variation in its thickness.

DEVELOPMENT OF A USEFUL IMAGE PROCESSING ENVIRONMENTAL SOFTWARE BASE FOR EFFICIENT LINING METHODS OF TECHNICAL PROJECTS – RISK ASSESSMENT OF PONDS’ LINER MANUFACTURES

KOLIOPOULOS T. C.(1), TZANIS D.(1), KOLIOPOULOU G.(2), AXINTE C.(3)

A risk assessment environmental software, based on image processing and in situ topographic surveying data, has been developed for the efficient evaluation of ponds’ liner manufactures under particular natural collapses. Efficient solutions and lining methods for reclamation environmental infrastructure works are presented. The presented geo-informatics software confrontates the most common met problems in the environmental liner manufactures’ management when slope stability is under risk due to several reasons. An analysis is presented for proper manufactures’ management within curved geometries on ground surface, lake boundaries, pond manufacture deformation, flood risk confrontation and environmental protection. Useful solutions are presented for the examining problem in order to develop spatial risk assessment tools and to support the technical works for saving any environmental protective areas, like Moustos Lake in Greece.

USING THE NEURAL NETWORK FOR THE DAX INDEX

LUPU VALERIU, LUPAN MARIANA

This article presents the use of neural networks to forecast economic. For economic forecast may be using the following indices: DAX index forecast, forecasting index NIKKEI 225, forecast the index Dow Jones Industrial Average and NASDAQ Composite index forecast. Also, the paper presents a scheme of the implementation process witch supposes seven stages: the selection of the variables, the collection of the dates, the before proceedings dates, the involving, the testing and the validation of the sets, the structure of the network (the presented components are: the number of the input neurons, the hidden layer, the number of output neurons, the accelerated function), criterions of estimating the output network (the main criterions are the number of iterations, the rate of learning). The last part of the paper present the using of the neuronal networks in economic forecasting, particularly the forecasting of Deutsche Aktienindex (DAX) index number.

NEURAL NETWORKS FOR B-SPLINE AND RBF USED FOR MULTIDIMENSIONAL INTERPOLATION

LUPU VALERIU

This article discusses the importance of the neural networks type B - Spline and RBF for the multidimensional interpolation. Problems of combinatorial optimization, optimal cutting, minimization of the amount of the material in the cutting operation, the planning of the manufacturing (of products), the calibration of the cylindrical tanks whose bases are irregular circumferences (ellipses) and the control of the parts are resolved.

ALTERNATIVE SCHEMES FOR THE MANAGEMENT OF END-OF-LIFE VEHICLES

MOUSTAKAS K., INGLEZAKIS V., MERGIAS I., LOIZIDOU M.

End-of-Life Vehicles (ELVs) constitute a complicated waste stream, since a significant number of different types of materials are used for the production of a vehicle. In addition, the composition of the ELVs changes significantly, according to the year of the construction of each vehicle, the country of its origin, the cubism and the average weight. As a result, the elimination of the problem originating from the generation of ELVs is of great importance for each country. This article examines the management of ELVs and develops recommendations for their effective and integrated management. For this purpose, six alternative management schemes/systems for ELVs are examined and analyzed in detail. The development of these management schemes is based on the priorities and principles of the relative European environmental policy and legislation in the field.

TEORETIC AND EXPERIMENTAL EVALUATION OF INLUENCE OF FRICTION FORCES TO OPERATING OF PRESSURE REDUCERS

VLADESCU MIRCEA

The paper points out that the gas pressure reducers with high intake pressure (20 MPa; the case of reducers for conveying vessels with compressed gas), the friction forces that arise as a result of mobile chain moving the reducer cannot be neglected. As a result of theoretic study and experiments done it is demonstrated that the friction influences with 7.5% the value of adjustable parameter (pressure p2 at the output of reducer), being requested measures to decrease the values of these forces.
