Abstract

Lyrical Influences in the Composition Structure of the Eminescian Theater – Didascalies

Eminescu's plays are recognized not necessarily for the lack of a clear dramatic structure (a point highlighted by critics) — a conclusion that can also be extracted from the absence of stage directions — but rather for the deliberate omission of certain didascalia or the inclusion of directions within the dramatic text itself. Thus, the novelty of Mihai Eminescu's theater lies precisely in the surprising blend of lyricism, which characterizes his entire literary creation.
