It is very difficult to choose the best equipment from a great number of equipment with similar performances, if there are not clear selection criteria. The suggested method starts from the indicators based on the equipment main operation features and it established a value scale for the initially defined criteria. The exemplification was done on machines for the crushing of solid materials.
