MARIA PRISECARU(1), IONUŢ STOICA(1), DANIELA TIŢĂ(2), FLORIAN PRISECARU(3), TATIANA CIUREA(4)

During 2020, in the Medical Analysis laboratory of the Bacău County Emergency Hospital, a few of 123 patients infected with Treponema pallidum, of both sexes, of different ages were identified. For diagnosis, the working methods were as follows: dark field microscopy for primary syphilis in exudative lesions or tissues, VDRL flocculation reaction for the screening stage and TPHA reaction to confirm positive results. The large number of infected people shows a poor education, many number of sexual partners, so the practice of commercial sex; there are a significant number (16) cases of congenital syphilis transmitted from sick mothers. The recent high number of latent syphilis shows poor addressability to medical staff when the first symptoms of the disease appear, either due to their ignorance or shame, syphilis being a sexually transmitted disease that involves investigating the whole family, the circle of friends and of contact persons. Cases of syphilis are the prerogative of young people (second and third decade of age) and sexually active.

BIOECOLOGICAL FEATURES OF HALYOMORPHA HALYS STAL (HETEROPTERA: PENTATOMIDAE) IN THE REPUBLIC OF MOLDOVA

IULIANA RUSU, DINA ELISOVETCAIA, TUDOR NASTAS

Monitoring of invasive species Halyomorpha halys in the conditions of the Republic of Moldova during the growing seasons of 2019-2020. has shown that phytophagous has settled in a new habitat, inhabits both cultural and ornamental plants, and is able to rapidly increase the population density. It can pose a serious danger to many economically significant crops, - in particular for maize, grapes, Solanaceae. The high level of harmfulness of the stink bug under new conditions necessitates the study of bio-ecological peculiarities as well as searching for efficient autochthonous species of entomophagous to control the number of pests.

IONUŢ STOICA(1), DANIELA TIŢĂ(2), MARIA PRISECARU(1), TATIANA CIUREA(3), ANAMARIA ŞOŞA(1)

Enzymes with value in the context of diagnosing heart disease: the group of aminotransferases (transaminases), alanine aminotransferase (ALT or GPT) and aspartate aminotransferase (AST or GOT), an enzyme in the trans-phosphatase group, CK (creatine kinase), creatine kinase-MB (CKMB, one of three forms - isoenzymes - of the enzyme creatine kinase (CK), and lactate dehydrogenase (LDH), an enzyme in the dehydrogenase group. The major enzymatic damage was noticed in the group a myocardial infarction in the following order: LDH (60%), CKMB (56%), TGO (32%), and in the group with valvulopathies: LDH (60%), CKMB (40%) and TGO (32%). The algorithm of changes of these enzymes allows to determine the stage of pathogenesis of lesions of the circulatory organs, to evaluate the effectiveness of therapy for cardiovascular diseases, helps to propose a set of laboratory and instrumental tests for monitoring patients.

ETHOLOGY AND REPRODUCTION OF IMAGO AGROTIS SEGETUM DEN. ET SCHIFF. IN SEASONAL DYNAMICS IN THE REPUBLIC OF MOLDOVA

IULIANA RUSU, TUDOR NASTAS

During the growing season of one year, the aetological and reproductive monitoring of imago Agrotis segetum was carried out using light and pheromone traps. It was noted that, under the climatic conditions of the Republic of Moldova, the first years of butterflies and the laying of winter moths were observed in the third decade of April due to the onset of warm, stable spring temperatures. The pest develops in three full generations. The seasonal sex ratio of the pest was determined - the number of males and females of A. segetum was 1,3:0,8. The reproductive capacity of the A. segetum population has been found to depend heavily on the sequence of generations. Thus, for the I generation the breeding potential was 25%, for the II generation - 24%, for the III generation - 51%. It was noted that the cycle of potential in-infestation times of large numbers of females coincided with mass numbers of females matching the main phases of soybean development – start of branching phase, flowering, formation and ripening of beans.

RESEARCH ON THE ESCHERICHIA COLI, PROTEUS MIRABILIS, KLEBSIELLA SPP. PHENOTYPES OF RESISTANCE TO ANTIBIOTICS

ALEXANDRU-IONUT CHELARU(1), NICOLETA BADALUTA(1), ANA-MARIA GEORGESCU(2), DUMITRA RADUCANU(1)

This paper, which proposed a study of antibiotic resistance of Enterobacteriaceae is based on analyzes and statistical processing that were performed from January 2020 to March 2020. It is worrying that 45.78% of all isolated strains are ESBLproducing, which means that bacterial resistance is increasing and their sensitivity is getting lower and lower. Most Enterobacteria, including those of ESBLproducing, are sensitive to carbapenems (imipenem, meropenem). These antibiotics are preferred in medical practice, considered as a reserve.

IONUŢ STOICA(1), MARIA PRISECARU(1), CRISTINA TOADER(2)

During 2020 (January 1 - December 31) investigations were made of erythrocytes, hemoglobin, hematocrit and erythrocyte indices on peripheral blood and spinal cord aspiration in 513 patients admitted to the departments of the Bacău County Emergency Hospital with various forms of anemia. of the total patients investigated, 89% had severe anemia and only 11% had mild anemia. In our study we found 8 types of anemia, namely: microcytic, normochromic, hypochromic, macrocytic, iron deficiency, prematurity, N.N. (normochromic, normocytic) and post-hemorrhagic. The most common was the hypochromic microcytic, followed by iron.

STUDY ON THE CYTOLOGY OF PLEURAL FLUID IN DIFFERENT PLEURITIS

MARIA PRISECARU(1), IONUŢ STOICA(1), FLORIAN PRISECARU(2)

100 patients with different types of pleurisy, hospitalized in the Bacau County Emergency Hospital, were investigated. The study was performed on pleural fluid from which pellets obtained from centrifugation, Gram stains, methylene blue and May-Grunwald-Giemsa staining, respectively, were performed. The following categories of cells were identified in the pleural fluid: reticulohistocytic elements (histocytes), blood elements (granulocytes, lymphocytes, and erythrocytes), mesothelial cells and tumor cells. Cell categories can be cytological formulas characteristic of different diseases based on they can be identified and confirmed. Thus, in serofibrinous pleurisy the picture of cellular elements does not presuppose the predominant existence of certain characteristic cell types, in T.B. pleurisy, numerous lymphocytes and enterocytes are characteristic, in hemorrhagic pleurisy, the large number of erythrocytes, in purulent pleurisy, the large number of granulocytes and lymphocytes, and in neoplastic forms, malignant cells.

OBSERVATIONS REGARDING THE CELERY FLY (EULEIA HERACLEI L.) IN LOVAGE (LEVISTICUM OFFICINALE W.D.J. KOCH) CULTURE FROM VEGETABLE RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT STATION BACAU

GABRIEL-ALIN IOSOB, TINA OANA CRISTEA

A species of fruit flies in the genus Euleia, family Tephritidae was found in lovage culture at the Vegetable Research and Development Station Bacau (VRDS Bacau). The species of fly was Euleia heraclei (Linnaeus, 1758). Called celery fly, this insect is considered harmful because the larvae are mining inside and destroying the leaves of celery, lovage, carrot, parsnip, etc. The attacks, usually, start in May, this is the first generation, but scientific studies report that the secondgeneration of larvae is more destructive. At VRDS Bacău, this insect was identified on the lovage leaves in the spring of 2021, the frequency (F%) was 96% and the degree of attack (GA%) was 3.92%.

IMPLANTABLE SYSTEMS FOR CHRONIC PAIN

TATIANA CIUREA, ANA GHEORGHIU, JEAN CIUREA

Chronic malignant and non-malignant pain requires an effective and well established treatment that is performed with implantable systems for intrathecal therapy. The devices used can be: mechanical pumps (ensures a constant flow) or electronic pumps with variable flow, the release of the bolus being controlled by the patient. Electronic pumps are preferred because they allow rapid dose determination and individual pain control. They are well tolerated and accepted by patients. The drugs available for intrathecal therapy are in line with the polyanalgesic effect and implantable electronic devices (containing the analgesic) have been significantly improved. New technologies are being developed focused on rechargeable devices and diaphragm pumps. Complications are various. The most serious are surgical, mechanical. Less severe are catheter leakage and drug side effects. These are transient effects and can be treated symptomatically. Intrathecal therapy is focused on the use of new drugs with minimal side effects, catheters, pumping technologies and improved surgical techniques.

BIOLOGICAL CONTROL OF PESTS IN CUCURBITACEOUS VEGETABLES: AN OVERVIEW

GABRIEL-ALIN IOSOB, TINA OANA CRISTEA, ALEXANDRU BUTE, DAN-IOAN AVASILOAIEI

This paper is a review of the literature in recent years that focuses on the determination of the main pests in the cucurbitaceous cultures in the world and Romania. Following the investigation, the distribution of pests according to the frequency of appearance showed the presence of 63 world species belonging to eight orders (Acari, Choleoptera, Diptera, Hemiptera. Hymenoptera, Lepidoptera, Orthoptera and Thysanoptera). In Romania, there have been described in the literature, in recent years, 7 major pests of cucurbitaceous crops that are part of 5 orders (Acars, Hemiptera, Thysanoptera, Colestera and Diptera). The use of predators, parasites, pathogens in the biological control of cucumbers is a challenge, but there are also many successful examples of biological control.
